Can the simulation log file be broken up into sections
Can the simulation log file be broken up into sections, as models get bigger and many with several 2d zone trying to find what is actual causing a simulations failure is becoming a bit more difficult having to scroll through big log files for that one line of information. Im thinking a summary sheet on why sim failed, along with a 1d, 2d possible river as well. Would help you look for issues.

Removing missing GIS-layers
If a GIS-layer for a model is missing you cannot remove the reference to it because the layer isn't visible in the GIS layer control window. So you keep getting the error message each time you open the model. Why not make missing GIS-layers visible in the GIS layer control window ('greyed out' or with a suffix '(missing)' in the description). Then you can select it and remove it.

Use of cfg for mapping in Polygon Generation via Intersection or have a Ruby do it
In doing (and often multiple redoing) the Polygon Generation via Intersection, it would be very useful to have the opportunity to save the mapping (which GIS or Network Field in which Polygon field) in a cfg file, like the ODEC feature has the opportunity to save the mapping.
As an alternative it would also be very useful to be able to run a Ruby which activates the Polygon Generation via Intersection and even the Area Take Off features.3 votes -
Background tasks overall progress visible in ICM
I think waiting for ICM to finish the task without having an idea about when this might be is not productive at all. Tasks like opening a simulation, graph something in the model, running a statistical template should be done accompanied by a loading bar, which will show the overall progress of that task.

Customization of Grid Windows in InfoWorks ICM
Allow custom grid window layouts in InfoWorks ICM, much like the Property window. Allow the user to reorganize the columns, change the column widths, or hide unnecessary columns, and save it as a layout to be applied as a default.

One more File name format for ASCII Grid (forecast) in Spatial TSDB
Now the file name format like *YYYYMMDDHHhhhmm of ASCII grid (forecast) can be supported in Spatial TSDB. However, if the user has a forecast origin accurate to minute, it cannot be used. A new file name format of *YYYYMMDDHHMMhhhmm should be included.

leave Layers and Themes window open
Could you make it possible to work in the Geoplan without having to close the Layers and Themes window? It would make switching Layers on and off much easier. Alternatively you could add a separate window to switch layers on and off.

Allow user default sorting of Master Database, and sorting of Layers and Themes properties
In InfoWorks ICM, allow the user to choose the default sorting of the Master Database and allow sorting of the Layers and Themes in Geoplan Properties and Themes.
I would like to be able to have the master database automatically/default sorted based on something else (description/ID/User/Date).
Would also like to sort the Layers & Themes dialogue, as it seems pretty random (not even alphabetical!) and often difficult to find the layer I'm looking for.

Hyperlinks to specific pages not just files/documents
When adding hyperlinks to features within the properties, enable the ability to link to a specific page within the document itself rather than just a folder location or document opening on the first page.

Improvement on the Numerical Correction Process in ICM
The current procedure for ‘Numerical Correction’ in ICM requires users to remove any existing values to calculate the correction (for Preismann and Base flow) before the inbuilt routine is run. If this wasn't made the calculated correction values are added on top of any existing value thereby reducing the total storage in the system. However, the correction for 'Storage Compensation' deletes any existing values before calculating the compensation value. Therefore, there is inconsistency in the approach which has the potential to reduce the total storage at a node. Either, the inbuilt process for 'Numerical Correction' should be revisited or the…

no flag update when updating via CSV
In ICM, when only updating a value via CSV file (Network -> Import -> Update from CSV files), the data flag should be left untouched instead of being "blanked" or updated with a new value (based on the "Flag to use for new/updated data" in the 'import from CSV data" screen)

Modelling of Septicity
As a sewer modeller I have occasionally been asked about odour generation in sewer networks. I have noticed that DO (dissolved oxygen) and BOD (biochemical oxygen demand) are both inputs in the wastewater and trade-waste model groups of Infoworks ICM SE. Given that these are possible inputs in a sewer model, is it possible to model the consumption of DO by BOD within the network to determine where and when the sewage becomes anaerobic and prone to odour generation? This would be particularly useful if you wanted to model the addition of a high BOD low volume trade waste stream…

Running a simulation with TSDB data is currently not supported in ICM Exchange.

Realign Feature Tool
For XPSWMM and Infoworks (any GUI editor you have actually):
Moving an existing line substantially is something that occasionally happens. If we could do this without having to delete the entire thing, or click and drag each vertex one at a time, it would be a big help at times.
A new feature I’d like to see for lines/polygons is a ‘realign feature’ tool. When selected, if you clicked on a vertex in a line or on a polygon boundary (single click and release), it would ‘grab’ that vertex and allow you to move it. Once you place it by…

Total sediment ( SF1+SF2).
In the result “graph” and “table” window add a new field for “total sediment” which presents the mass flow and the concentration of “sf1”+”sf2”

Local water quality settings.
User can set local water quality parameters and local initial condition of Water Quality in ICM rather than globally.
Local WQ parameter should at least contain decay rate, DO process coefficient etc..
As for the local initial condition, DO concentration and other pollutants concentration could be set for each river reach.
For example, for one node or one link it could have a local “decay” in itself. And for the initial condition every node or link can have different intial pollution concentrations.2 votes -
Agricultural pollution.
Including agricultural pollution in the model. Such as fertilization and pesticide application. These pollutions can buildup rapidely on the surface and washoff during irrigation and rainfall period. Some common model softwares such as SWAT and WASP have this simulation process.

Water environmental capacity calculation
Add environmental capacity calculation in ICM, user can easily find how much pollution the river can receive at each time step and each river’s total environment capacity during the whole simulatiton.
Water Environmental Capacity Calculation
Background
Water environmental capacity is an essential component of water environmental assessment and must be monitored and managed for economic, engineering, and human health reasons. Many efforts have been made to study methods for the calculation of water environmental capacity. This content reviews available literature on water environmental capacity. The evolutionary history and application scenarios of major water quality models, and water environmental capacity calculation…2 votes
