Option to disable flag colour backgrounds for Custom Labels
When creating a custom label and using field values, the values have a background in the colour of the flag value. In many cases, the flag value is not a suitable colour to be a background and makes the text difficult to read.
Could you make an option in the Formatting settings for custom labels to disable this behaviour so that the flag colour is not displayed.

That is a very reasonable work-around Masoud. We could export the current User Defined Flag list, duplicate the CSV and then change the Color code to white for all entries in one of the CSVs. Then either flag list could be imported relatively quickly, all one color for quick screenshots and the full color list while using the model. We use flag colors extensively while working so changing them back and forth manually just to grab a screenshot wouldn't be practicable. An option to ignore flag color in labels, or override with a new color as you've suggested, would still be very helpful.

You can open "User Defined Flags..." window, and change the colors as you wish. This will get immediately applied on the network/objects with no need to commit changes. You can either make them all white or change them to a lighter color to make the values legible.

Being able to turn off the flag colour would be very helpful when generating screenshots for emails. If you wan to show a couple of quick manhole locations but the Node_ID flag is dark purple it simply doesn't work. Instead the free text option needs to be selected and set manually for each label.
A couple more helpful possibilities that come to mind: Automatically setting the display text to white for values with dark flags (would be great in the Grid Views too). Showing the flag colour as a "prefix" box to the left of the field value so that the text can be easily read even if the flag is dark and the text is black.
