  1. Enable alternate versions of the SWMM engine within ICM

I would like to have the option to use a different version of the SWMM engine to be run instead of the latest Innovyze version. In some cases this is required, but it is often very helpful to confirm the results from previous versions.

  2. XPSWMM Inlet capacity - head difference rating or geometry-based inlets

Inlet capacity creates a second node internally to XPSWMM. Currently, the rating curve methods for it are calculated based on node depth, rather than head differential, which doesn’t work right with 2D if the storm sewer HGL is above the gutter.

I really like how inlet capacity doesn’t require adding an extra node. I would like to suggest it be expanded as follows:

    1) Simply add a head differential rating curve.

    2) Add a structure-based option for inlets,

For a structure-based inlet, it could essentially be a multi-link. I would like to have a global database of standard inlet types…

  3. Infoworks ICM - XPSWMM

Provide a easy model/network transport option from one program to the other. Many municipalities within WA utilise XPSWMM and therefore are note able to read an ICM model.

  4. Refine FHWA junction losses

There are some improvements that can be made to FHWA junction losses based on experimental results provided by Wood Rodgers.

  5. Different shape sluice or pipe/orifice closure option

We usually model closed gates as sluices, as they are the ones that can easily be closed (by setting the height to zero). The downside of this is that it can only be a rectangle (and it usually closes off a round pipe). An orifice now has the nice option to set it at either circular or rectangular, but closing it is not possible (setting the flow limit to zero would make sense here, but doesn’t work). Is it possible to do something about that? In WSPro you have the nice checkbox Close Pipe for all objects, that would come…

  6. RTC - Allow data to be pasted into tables and it automatically generate the rows

The only way to add new rows to an RTC Table is to manual click on them - if would be better if you could paste a large number of rows from Excel and it auto-generates the rows in the same way as when pasting data into the Inflow table.

  7. Additional storage calculations

Can we please revisit the assumptions in the additional storage routines.

In a world where everyone has access to accurate property location data, via customer seed points and subcatchments can be any shape or size. The distances between properties and sewers can be much more accurately determined in the calculation than is currently the case, based on the existing A/4L.

The calculation also makes no allowance for private inspection chambers, which in many instances would provide more volume than the pipe.

Two versions of the equation driven by a new field in the subcatchment would also be better allowing lateral…

  8. Allow multiple subcatchments with the same RTK set to drain to one node.

allow subcatchments with different RTKs to drain to the same node (Very useful for future loads and different land uses).
