  1. User URL for X/Y Coordinates

Currently, the User URL option for the "View Online" menu in Innovyze ICM only allows for the output of longitude and latitude coordinates. Our GIS system is built on the BNG projection and therefore uses X/Y coordinates in its URL. Can you enable X/Y coordinates to be used in the User URL generated by ICM?

  2. Faster release Exchange license

After a user uses the Exchange license, it takes ages before the license is released again so another user can use it.

  4. Modelling of Septicity

As a sewer modeller I have occasionally been asked about odour generation in sewer networks. I have noticed that DO (dissolved oxygen) and BOD (biochemical oxygen demand) are both inputs in the wastewater and trade-waste model groups of Infoworks ICM SE. Given that these are possible inputs in a sewer model, is it possible to model the consumption of DO by BOD within the network to determine where and when the sewage becomes anaerobic and prone to odour generation? This would be particularly useful if you wanted to model the addition of a high BOD low volume trade waste stream…

  6. Highlight and delete multiple vertices when editing features (e.g. roughness zones)

In GIS software when editing features, there is often an option to select a number of vertices to delete/move them as a group. This would speed up time taken to edit features in the model like roughness zones that often need a lot of editing to be compatible with the mesh.

  7. Can the simulation log file be broken up into sections

Can the simulation log file be broken up into sections, as models get bigger and many with several 2d zone trying to find what is actual causing a simulations failure is becoming a bit more difficult having to scroll through big log files for that one line of information. Im thinking a summary sheet on why sim failed, along with a 1d, 2d possible river as well. Would help you look for issues.

  8. Use of cfg for mapping in Polygon Generation via Intersection or have a Ruby do it

In doing (and often multiple redoing) the Polygon Generation via Intersection, it would be very useful to have the opportunity to save the mapping (which GIS or Network Field in which Polygon field) in a cfg file, like the ODEC feature has the opportunity to save the mapping.
As an alternative it would also be very useful to be able to run a Ruby which activates the Polygon Generation via Intersection and even the Area Take Off features.

  9. Set database management permissions

(Workgroup) database permissions are now mainly used to prevent users from modifying content within the database, but there is currently no way to prevent them from updating databases, creating new ones unlimitedly on servers with otherwise protected access etc. It would therefore be useful to have an additional security level which deals with database management permissions.

    Thank you for this request.

There are already settings available for database creation permissions which can be implemented using the snumbat.ini file.

Specifically there is a keyword “AllowDatabaseCreation” where a setting of 0 means creation is disallowed and a settings of 1 means creation is allowed. The Workgroup Data Server Administration document which can be requested from Innovyze talks through these steps and provides examples for the snumbat.ini files.

When it comes to the updating of databases, is this to restrict the ability to update from a particular software version database to a later one or rather to prevent update to the contents of the database please?

    Thanks,
    Pascal

  10. Improvement on the Numerical Correction Process in ICM

The current procedure for ‘Numerical Correction’ in ICM requires users to remove any existing values to calculate the correction (for Preismann and Base flow) before the inbuilt routine is run. If this wasn't made the calculated correction values are added on top of any existing value thereby reducing the total storage in the system. However, the correction for 'Storage Compensation' deletes any existing values before calculating the compensation value. Therefore, there is inconsistency in the approach which has the potential to reduce the total storage at a node. Either, the inbuilt process for 'Numerical Correction' should be revisited or the…

  11. Need additional Timestep function for "Between episodes" of "Simulation runoff only"

It needs creating a new Timestep function in ICM Run window that allows setting up timestep for "Simulation runoff only" for the "Between episodes" separately with "Timestep (s)" in Run window. This new function saves a lot of running time when the model can simulate the runoff only with larger time step using the "Episode Collection"

  12. Restrict user ability to "Empty Recycle Bin"

Ideally it would be good to give a couple of named users the ability to empty the recycle bin - everyone else can send things TO the recycle bin, and can go into the bin to recover 'deleted' items, but they won't be able to empty it. This functionality is already present in some other software suites, for example Microsoft SharePoint, where only users designated as 'administrators' can empty the recycle bin.

The recycle bin in ICM is a wonderful upgrade over CS, in that it is now possible to retrieve certain items that have been accidently deleted. However, I…

  14. One more File name format for ASCII Grid (forecast) in Spatial TSDB

Now the file name format like *YYYYMMDDHHhhhmm of ASCII grid (forecast) can be supported in Spatial TSDB. However, if the user has a forecast origin accurate to minute, it cannot be used. A new file name format of *YYYYMMDDHHMMhhhmm should be included.

  15. On behave of Chinese users, could developing team transfer drainage design module from infoSwmm into ICM?

On behave of Chinese users, could developing team transfer drainage design module from infoSwmm into ICM?

Clients in China do have this wish to do drainage and model in same software. Many of our potential client choose Hongye (a simple drainage modelling software) instead of ICM only because Hongye could do pipe design work.

Thanks for raising this request on User Voice. For the drainage design requirements across the globe at a localised scale we have InfoDrainage, when looking to take a design which has been produced and to then understand the more holistic catchment wide impact of such a design, this is where the model can be imported into InfoWorks ICM for integration. It is probably worth exploring this in more detail in this instance to understand exactly what the end goal the client is after and at what scale the work is being completed if that would be possible.

  16. no flag update when updating via CSV

In ICM, when only updating a value via CSV file (Network -> Import -> Update from CSV files), the data flag should be left untouched instead of being "blanked" or updated with a new value (based on the "Flag to use for new/updated data" in the 'import from CSV data" screen)

  18. Total sediment ( SF1+SF2).

In the result “graph” and “table” window add a new field for “total sediment” which presents the mass flow and the concentration of “sf1”+”sf2”

  19. Agricultural pollution.

Including agricultural pollution in the model. Such as fertilization and pesticide application. These pollutions can buildup rapidely on the surface and washoff during irrigation and rainfall period. Some common model softwares such as SWAT and WASP have this simulation process.
