commentedI greatly support this idea. RTCs at current can be pretty difficult to write for complex controls. The biggest short coming of current RTCs in my opinion is that variables can only be defined once in the RTC and can't have their value changed after that. The RTCs are also very slow to open and use once there are a fair few of them, and copying RTCs can take a fair while just to open the grid view. Having external script files would greatly help in productivity and shifting between models/databases. Nick Dahl

37 votesWe have spent quite a bit of time investigating how validation improvements might be achieved, whether that be through validation as a background task or whether it be with improvements on the speed of validation in the first place. There is no silver bullet which has been identified so far, the validation is already very efficient with minimal potential for speed improvements and there are issues with it as a background task as previously mentioned which we haven’t got fully fledged solutions to yet. commentedThis is a huge problem with large networks and with large scenario numbers. Great suggestion. Nick Dahl

I agree. Manual/automatic moving/sorting of the database tree items would be very useful (or at least pleasing to the eye). The order of items sometimes gets scrambled when copy/pasting and its a pain to try and get it back in order.
