  2. Simplify the Ground Water Model

Simplify the InfoWorks Ground Water model Or GIM by using only the Ground layer instead of two layers Soil and Ground.

Don’t use the soil store component of the GIM.

Innovyze, please simplify the conceptual design of the GIM by reducing it to one layer.

  3. Compare WWG and TWG files

A tool to compare different WWG files and TWG files and report on the differences, similar to the Compare functionality for Networks.

  4. Inflow files with different timesteps or ability to import multiple inflow files to a Run file.

For inflow files, sometimes you have 15-min data for one gauge, and 5-min data for another location, and you want to import them both to the model. It would be helpful to be able to import inflow files with different timesteps for the same date range, so you don't have to manipulate data outside of ICM in excel. Or, allowing the ability to import multiple inflow files to the same run.

  5. ICM - HEC-22 Combination Inlet for continuous grade inlets

Currently ICM has 6 FWHA Gully Inlet types:
    ContCo Continuous Curb Opening
    ContG Continuous Grate
    SagC Sag Combination
    SagCO Sag Curb Opening
    SagG Sag Grate and
    UPC Grate

A commonly used Inlet type (particularly in QLD Australia) that is missing from this list is the combination (curb opening + grate) on a continuous grade.

Section 4.4.4.4. in the HEC-22 manual discuss the capacity of these inlets where the curb opening precedes the grate in the direction of flow. It would be particularly useful to include this option in ICM rather than assuming a grate only inlet type or having to…

  6. Need additional Timestep function for "Between episodes" of "Simulation runoff only"

It needs creating a new Timestep function in ICM Run window that allows setting up timestep for "Simulation runoff only" for the "Between episodes" separately with "Timestep (s)" in Run window. This new function saves a lot of running time when the model can simulate the runoff only with larger time step using the "Episode Collection"

  7. It will great if we can control the display of the labels in ICM to have a better visualization.

For example : the possiblity of changing the precision in the labels (the decimal number of the value )

  8. Add Data Sets to InfoWorks

Add Data Sets to InfoWorks as one can do in InfoSWMM. Helpful when clients want to model alternatives scenarios and make last minute changes.

  10. Mesh zone on Mesh Zone

The ability to have a mesh zone on a mesh zone. This would be useful when modelling Attenuation basins in 3D (using ground model / breaklines). It would easily allow to have a coarse mesh for the basin floor to improve the stability of Outfall 2Ds (where small triangles can limit flow to the outfall 2D) but still allow for a finer mesh for basin sides and in your study area.

  11. Volume on a discharge graph with results section

When we display the graph of the discharge (flow through line) of a results section (line object), we don’t have access of the information about the volume (usually when we display a discharge graph, the volume is indicated at the bottom of the graph, but it’s not the case with a results section).
It could be interesting to have this information about the volume (especially because the results section are a tool very useful to use).

  12. Pump Station Modelling

Infoworks ICM pump station modelling principle is very basic, adding a pump between two nodes is highly hypothetical. There is no way to add pump station head losses.
I would like to suggest incorporating pump station modelling (for Rotodynamic pumps) with pump curve and system curve theory. Then the model results would be much more realistic.
There must be a tool to incorporate all the accessories in pump stations, between two nodes. Like pump station type, drywall wet well. And Parameters to calculate Pump suction and discharge losses, like all fittings, non-return valves, discharge valves, flow meters etc. This would…

  14. Scenario assigned 'official' ID numbers within software

I would like for scenario names to be prefixed with a built-in ID number, in the same way that model commits have official version numbers, and wastewater and trade waste profiles have ID numbers. ICM clearly tracks ID numbers behind the scenes, since it is able to keep the scenarios in the same order (rather than sorting them alphabetically or similar).

When specifying exactly which 'model' was used to produce a set of simulation results, it is necessary to specify network ID, version ID and scenario ID - so it would be helpful to be able to just point to…

  15. compatibility with WMTS servers

Compatibility with WMTS servers for the GIS layer control would be very urgent. Right now a lot of data is only to project from WMTS servers.

  16. I want Infoworks' "Export maxima to GIS" to include the below parameters to assist scour protection design within 2D Zone

    1. For shear-stress-based design 1.1 Max Shear Stress (in N/m2 with at least 1 digit after the decimal point) 1.2 Hydraulic Slope at Max Shear Stress (in percent with at least 3 digits after the decimal point)
    2. For velocity-based design 2.1. Max SPEED2D (already available. Good job, devlopment team!) 2.2. Hydraulic slope at max SPEED2D (in percent with at least 3 digits after the decimal point)

  17. odour

Air Phase Model Function - Can Innovyze consider to include air phase modelling function in InfoWorks? At moment, the odour modelling is done separately by various methods using the sewer hydraulic data as the input. As a result, the odour modelling has to be done by different teams and often costing. There is a strong market demand to integrate the liquid and air phase modelling, for example DHI already has a function. It is technically challenging to have a full integration, however there are well developed simplified ways to achieve that.

  18. Split a subcatchment

To be able to easily split a subcatchment into 2 separate subcatchments.

For example when it becomes obvious that the flow from a subcatchment cannot be collected at a pit (node), it becomes necessary to insert an additional pit (node) to capture flows. The subcatchment needs to be easily split (say with a general line) into 2 separate subcatchments with similar data other than the new areas.

  19. Restrict user ability to "Empty Recycle Bin"

Ideally it would be good to give a couple of named users the ability to empty the recycle bin - everyone else can send things TO the recycle bin, and can go into the bin to recover 'deleted' items, but they won't be able to empty it. This functionality is already present in some other software suites, for example Microsoft SharePoint, where only users designated as 'administrators' can empty the recycle bin.

The recycle bin in ICM is a wonderful upgrade over CS, in that it is now possible to retrieve certain items that have been accidently deleted. However, I…
