Export results to CSV/Database with a more flexible selection list in ICMLive
In ICMLive, we can now export results to CSV/Database with a pre-defined selection list. In ICM, we can have a more flexible way.
For example if I hope to export results point (2D), initially I may have 1 million points. What we can do in ICM is, run a SQL to query points with sim.max_depth2d > 0.05, then save them to a selection list. We may only have 0.1 million points to export.
Can we have a similar function in ICMLive, which combines SQL and selection list?3 votes -
Export to Geopackage
New versions should export to more generic GIS formats so that they are independent of commercial GIS platforms.

Export Flood Profile from ICM to AutoCAD Civil 3D Profile file
While exporting to AutoCAD DWG file format is ok - we used AutoCAD Civil 3D for drawing profiles. Can you just create a Profile file? or use LandXML to represent this information.
From the Autodesk Help:
About the Format Requirements of Profile FilesUse profile files to record layout data for points of vertical intersection (PVIs) in a profile.
A profile file is a simple text file in ASCII format. The file contains a series of stations along an alignment, the elevation of each station, and optionally, the length of curve at the station. Each line can include up to…

Include a new conduit type for tile drains
Add a new conduit type to model tile drains or underdrains. These are common in agricultural fields and certain stormwater control structures. Currently, its difficult to model these since you can't account for the time it takes to infiltrate from the surface to the drain based on its depth.

Graph sum of multiple objects instead of each selected object
While looking at multiple drainage areas in a basin (in my example), results can become hard to read; it would be nice if you could graph multiple objects and have the option to see the summation of the selection instead of each individual item.

Retain decimal places when copying/pasting grid values
For most numerical values in a model, ICM can hold 8 decimal places. From the grid view, if you copy/paste a single cell value, the full set of decimal values are preserved. However, if you copy multiple cell values at once (e.g. an entire column), only the visible/display decimal places will be retained. For certain fields with combinations of large/small values and units, e.g. area values measured in hectares, or baseflow measured in l/s, basic copying/pasting values can result in a lot of precision being lost.
The work-around for this is to use SQLs to copy/paste/move values around, which ensures…

Need additional Timestep function for "Between episodes" of "Simulation runoff only"
It needs creating a new Timestep function in ICM Run window that allows setting up timestep for "Simulation runoff only" for the "Between episodes" separately with "Timestep (s)" in Run window. This new function saves a lot of running time when the model can simulate the runoff only with larger time step using the "Episode Collection"

Add Data Sets to InfoWorks
Add Data Sets to InfoWorks as one can do in InfoSWMM. Helpful when clients want to model alternatives scenarios and make last minute changes.

Restrict user ability to "Empty Recycle Bin"
Ideally it would be good to give a couple of named users the ability to empty the recycle bin - everyone else can send things TO the recycle bin, and can go into the bin to recover 'deleted' items, but they won't be able to empty it. This functionality is already present in some other software suites, for example Microsoft SharePoint, where only users designated as 'administrators' can empty the recycle bin.
The recycle bin in ICM is a wonderful upgrade over CS, in that it is now possible to retrieve certain items that have been accidently deleted. However, I…

I want Infoworks' "Export maxima to GIS" to include the below parameters to assist scour protection design within 2D Zone
- For shear-stress-based design 1.1 Max Shear Stress (in N/m2 with at least 1 digit after the decimal point) 1.2 Hydraulic Slope at Max Shear Stress (in percent with at least 3 digits after the decimal point)
- For velocity-based design 2.1. Max SPEED2D (already available. Good job, devlopment team!) 2.2. Hydraulic slope at max SPEED2D (in percent with at least 3 digits after the decimal point)

Enable true 'zooming out' on graphs
I am not sure if this is intended behavior, or if it is actually a bug/oversight, but I would like to request the 'zoom out' tool zooms out from the CURRENT POSITION, by one zoom increment (so just the reverse of how the zoom in works using the mouse scroll wheel). This would keep the zoom in/out consistent with how the GeoPlan zooming works.
If you 'zoom in' to a graph (with the mouse scroll wheel or the 'zoom in' tool), and then pan across to a different time, and then try to 'zoom out', it doesn't work as expected.…

Theme mapping for rain gauges boundary lines generated using Thiessen polygons method
Boundary lines generated with the Thiessen Polygon methodology to define the boundaries for different rain gauges are too thin when they are automatically generated inside ICM. This make them quite difficult to see when a model is loaded with many different type of objects as sub catchments, mesh zones, roughness zones, etc.
Providing our users with the ability to change thickness/colour/line type in a new row in the Properties and Themes, will allow a better visualization, therefore, better understanding in the Geoplan on how each rain gauge affect different zones of the model.

Wet Well Graph
As a modeler, I would like to see a plot showing everything for a pump station in one place. See the attached figure. Inflow/outflow and the flows from each pump. The 3D chart helps a lot showing which line is which.

Generate individual rainfall event files
I would like a feature in which you can see individual rainfall event files within a model group once you have generated rainfall rather than the current setup of having to export from the software then having to import back into the software to see the generated rainfall split into the individual event files.
Although you can view the individual event files by right-clicking the generator files and selecting Open As>Grid Editor (TVD read-only), this is not helpful if you wanted to simulate specific rainfall events in which it is easier to select the specific rainfall event file you want…

Import “initial conditions 2D” CSV files in batches .
At the moment I can only import initial conditions 2D” CSV files one by one. It would be helpful if I could import a batch of files in one go, like with CSV rainfall files.

Multiple Conduit Selection
The Select downstream (or upstream) links button is of limited use. Typically, I would like to select all downstream CONDUITS, in order to create a long section, but I find ICM arbitrarily include overland links (curb & gutter) between nodes and not show the conduit. I guess an SQL could be written, but a simple select conduits only button would be better.
