    Dear User,

Thanks for posting, commenting and voting for this idea. We have reviewed the requirements for implementing a clash detection tool in InfoDrainage, and this is currently in Development for future releases of the software.

As for the comments regarding the pipe thickness, we will enable customers to insert a tolerance value so users can account for both the pipe trench width/height and the pipe thickness when deciding the vertical and horizontal tolerance values.

    Kind Regards,

    InfoDrainage Product Management team

  2. Manhole Schedule Numbering

For MH tables and report outputs, it would be good to have an option to report chronologically, e.g. 1-30.
I understand it numbers them on the first Manhole built in the model however I think it would make more sense to go from shallowest to deepest, e.g. U/S to D/S. As is quite common in design additional MHs need to be incorporated further into the model due to clashes or change in direction etc, so it would be best if all outputs and MH tables followed the numerical order.

  3. Sewer Design - Depth to soffit

InfoDrainage currently has the depths shown as depth to invert when depth to soffit is more useful to ensure the sewer has sufficient cover

  4. InfoDrainage - Re-Ordering Tables

Please can you add an ability to manually adjust the order of Junctions and Connections as the tables quickly become difficult to follow. The automatic re-ordering seems to reset as soon as you make any changes!

  5. InfoDrainage - Permeable Paving

It would be useful to have a central granular conveyance trench beneath permeable paving to avoid the need for overly deep sub base beneath the road / drive.

  6. Provide Enhanced Manhole Schedule Details

It would be great to have the option of providing an additional level of customisable detail which could be configured on MH Schedules.

As an example including practical details around the cover – contractors want to know and see more from a MH schedule when out on site.

Examples of details around the type of cover:
    Cover Size
    Opening Size
    Recessed
    Solid Top
    Loading Class

Currently this level of additional detail is often added manually to MH schedules exported from software.

  7. Exceedance Level in Infodrainage

It would be good to have an option in underground stormwater controls to have a separate option for exceedance level and Ground Level
By taking the exceedance level as GL, it makes the Long sections look distorted when in reality it is common for our designs to have circa. 1m+ cover from top of tanks/soakaways etc to ground level.

  9. PDF output Data sheets - Same as MicroDrainage

Have a setting when printing results to output in the same or similar style as MicroDrainage. Options to display certain storms, critical storm by differing criteria, and summaries of pipelines, manholes and other data

  10. Provide Hydraulic Results in Civil 3D

As a Drainage Design user, I want to annotate the various Hydraulic results in plan and in profile within Civil 3D. I would like these results to automatically appear from my InfoDrainage design results.

Thanks to those who submitted, voted and commented on this idea. This is to confirm that we've received and reviewed the requirements to implement results migration from InfoDrainage to Civil 3D and this is currently in our road map for development in future releases of InfoDrainage.

  11. Flood Studies Update: Ireland

Add support for the Met-Eireann DDF Irish Rainfall Data. The IDF data can be downloaded from a website and automatically uploading this data would be a big time-saver for users in Ireland.

  12. HGL values in Profile - show in Elevation and uniformly across the profile - not just on structure

We need full HGL profile, using Elevation as a label in profile and consistently across the Flow Path.

  13. Output flow controls details

When presenting results to be checked/reviewed either internally or by client or LPA/LLFA, you have to present details of orifices, hydrobrakes, etc so that they can understand what items are in there. In InfoDrainage because flow controls are not a seperate item type, the only way to present that information is to output every single "outlet" on the scheme.

On a large scheme, that means that my results file can be three or four pages of dozens of lines of "outlet = pipe", and about two or three actually relevant items hidden somewhere in the middle.

    It would be great…

  14. Improve Snap Marker visibility

Improve the Snap marker visibility as they blend into the object making the snap markers nearly invisible

  15. Velocity and proportional velocity to be shown on Tables

When designing sewers a critical design criteria is the pipe velocity when full or at design discharge rate. It makes designing sewers quite iterative without this included

Thank you for the suggestion and thanks to those who commented and voted.

In order to get rid of the dendritic numbering system that was in MicroDrainage which prevented users from modelling bifurcation, we had to introduce the design wizard rather than an optimise button that looked at the whole system. This means that users will have to run a design wizard to check the velocities. However, we've introduced various flexibilities for turning on and off design criteria parameters which will make these iterations easier.

Does the above address your suggestion?

  16. I want a Gully Space calculations tool in InfoDrainage

InfoDrainage - want to do Gully space calculations or assess capacity of different gullies.
can you add the gully design tool to InfoDrainage?

  17. Improved tutorial for setting up a network

InfoDrainage - i am just trailing software and using the metric tutorial. i do not like loading in items from MicroDrainage or AutoCAD and was hoping the tutorial would show how to quickly setup a highway drainage system with pipes/manholes/gullies.

when asked "was this page helpful" i put thumbs down, hoping to get a chance to say the above but i cannot type in the feedback form. please update chapter 2 "creating the network" so that new users can setup a simple network - all ive done is click buttons to load random data and do not feel like i…

  18. Formatting of Reports

The output reports from Infordrainage, are not set to fit the page and as such, there is a lot of "white space" left on the outputs. At present, there are no formatting options to change this. It makes the drainage report look a bit untidy.

  19. InfoDrainage - level bench in basin/pond configuration

The sizing calculator in the pond build pop-up enables one side lpe only.
There are now LLFAs that require level benck of at aleast 1.5 m width after 0.6 m depth in a basin.
It is currently not possible to use your calculator to establish such basin properties.
    This would be useful.

  20. Change the size / dimensions of multiple manholes at once

    MicroDrainage Network

It would be very useful if it was possible to change the dims of many manholes at once. It'a a very laborious and time consuming task to change each dimension one-by-one, especially if the network is very large!
